Career and Technical Education is a planned program of courses  and learning experiences 
that begins with exploration of career options
supports basic academic and life skills, enables achievement of high academic standards,  
leadership, preparation for industry-defined work,  and advanced and continuing education.

WAVA provides leadership to enhance and support
Career and Technical Education in communities and schools.

Belief Statements
WAVA's primary interest is to serve Career & Technical Education directors and administrators and we believe
that WAVA will enable each member to achieve the professional expertise and knowledge to;
1,  Shape visionary, proactive leadership through a supportive networking and mentoring process
2.  Experience professional growth that continuously improves CTE administrative skills
3.  Understand why and how to advance CTE in the context of broad educational issues.
